Leavitt Capital LLC was formed as a boutique real estate investment banking and advisory firm in 2010 by Brendan Hotchkiss. Leavitt Capital LLC represents real estate developers, investors, and owners in financially engineering the most efficient use of capital to increase their overall return and bottom line. At Leavitt we listen to our clients’ needs and tailor a specific capital solution to accommodate those exact needs. Through our strong relationships with numerous private and institutional “active” lenders and investors we are able to structure a one of a kind solution for all real estate capital needs. Through our capital markets team we are placing senior mortgages, construction loans, gap financing, mezzanine, preferred equity and joint venture equity.

BRENDAN W. HOTCHKISS – PRESIDENT
Brendan began his career as an investment sales real estate broker with Marcus & Millichap in Chicago where he focused on the disposition of office, industrial and retail sales throughout the United States. While at Marcus & Millichap Brendan underwrote/sold $1.75 billion of deals throughout the Midwest.

In 2004, he joined a private equity firm as Vice President of Investments where his concentrations were in structured finance, acquisitions and dispositions.

In 2008 he opened and directed the Chicago office for Johnson Capital, an international real estate investment banking firm. Brendan managed the Chicago office, and focused on debt and equity structuring for commercial real estate transactions.

In 2010 Brendan formed Leavitt Capital LLC to establish a platform to better serve his clients. He is committed to providing solutions for all clients with honesty and integrity.

Throughout his career Brendan has acquired, disposed, financed, syndicated and underwritten over $25 billion of commercial real estate holdings with a focus on structured finance and equity/joint venture structuring. His clients range from high-net worth individuals to large global institutions.

Brendan was born and raised in Chicago and currently splits his time between Chicago and Phoenix. He received his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University and was a ROTC scholarship recipient. He then attended Roosevelt University for a real estate concentrated MBA. Brendan is active in many charitable and civic organizations, including the National Eagle Scout Organization.
