J Rayl Transport, Inc. (JRayl) is a third generation, family-owned and operated, full service transportation Company. Tim Rayl and Jim St. John began JRayl on a small private farm with just five trucks. They began their operation in Akron, Ohio in response to the needs of local tire companies. JRayl has grown tremendously from its humble beginnings, but still maintains the corporate culture of being like family.
JRayl has approximately two hundred trucks and six hundred trailers covering more than half the country while its Brokerage covers the rest of the United States and Canada. The Company employs over two hundred and fifty people all while holding true to its family atmosphere that has made it one of the best places to work. In addition, a full service brokerage, JRayl Logistics, Inc. provides our customers with cost saving solutions for all their transportation needs.

Today, Tim’s son Jeremy is the Chief Executive Officer while all three generations remain active in the business. Akron remains the Corporate Headquarters for operations with terminals in Columbus, Ohio; Danville, Virginia; Wytheville, Virgina; Houston, Texas; Dallas, Texas.
